Adult Faith

Imagine if being a disciple was like playing a game of baseball (or watch the video below)

First Base

First Base would be to make a commitment to follow Jesus. Another way to say that is to invite Jesus to be the center of your life, giving your life direction and meaning.

We offer the following programs to help you decide if you are ready to make such a commitment:

Second Base

Second Base would be to form yourself in the hearts and habits of a disciple, such as

  • prayer,
  • meditation on scripture,
  • growing in friendship with other disciples,
  • getting rooted in the sacramental life,
  • learning to rely on the Holy Spirit,
  • understanding basic beliefs of Catholicism, and
  • developing a heart for service.

To help people at second base, we offer

Third Base

Third Base would be to serve as worker, to share Christ with the world.

To help people reach third base, we are developing small groups that will meet to develop as disciples and prepare to share Christ with others.

Interested in Becoming Catholic?

Each year we offer a process for adults who would like to know more about the Catholic faith and/or are considering becoming Catholic, known as the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). It is a process of discernment, meaning that if you begin the process and discover that you are unable or no longer interested in continuing, you are not obligated to finish. We operate this process in several tracks and it is ongoing, meaning you don't have to wait until September to start.  We ask those interested to contact Jen Mayer at 410-647-4892 or using the contact a staff member page.
