The Lenten Season begins on Ash Wednesday, March 1. This is a day of fasting and abstinence, meaning that all those aged 14 and above abstain from meat and those 18-59 years of age should also fast, meaning limiting food intake to one full meal and two smaller meals (and no snacking between meals).
Ashes will be distributed at all services on Ash Wednesday:
Masses: 8:30 AM; 5 PM (with religious ed students)
Prayer Services: 10:30 AM (with school students), 12 Noon & 7 PM
Walk In: Ashes may be received anytime from 7 AM - 7 PM in the Gathering Space outside the Oratory. After receiving ashes, you are invited to stay and pray awhile.
Three Days of Eucharistic Adoration will begin at 7 AM on Ash Wednesday and continue round the clock through Friday, Feb. 16 with Stations and Benediction at 7 PM. Sign up to commit to a time to spend in prayer here.
