Enrollment Mass Procedures - 2012

1. Please attend the Mass to which your child has been assigned

Saturday, January 21– 5:15 PM Mass
St. John School, Rm. 18 (Ms. Wells)
Religious Education, Wednesday, Rm. 18 (Mrs. Rizzo)

Sunday, January 22 – 9:00 AM Mass
Religious Education Students, Sunday, Session II, (Mrs. Beyerlein; Mr. & Mrs. Cohn), Msgr. Slade and those “Home Schooled”

Sunday, January 22 - 10:30 AM Mass
Religious Education, Sunday, Session I; (Mrs. Riley & Mrs. O’Connor, Mrs. Painer, Mrs. Rodriguez).

Sunday, January 22 – Noon Mass
St. John School, Rm. 19 (Ms. Rogowski)
Religious Education, Wednesday, Rm. 19 (Mrs. Murphy)

2. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the assigned Mass time. Please go to the table in the gathering space and “sign in”.

3. Please feel free to sit in the Church as a family in any pew you choose.

4. Following the Homily, the Celebrant will invite the children and their parent(s) to enter the Sanctuary (area around the Altar). Please form a semi-circle facing the Celebrant.

5. The children and parents will be asked several questions to which you respond "yes." Please respond loudly and clearly and encourage your children to do the same.

6. Following the Enrollment questions, the children and their parent(s) will receive a special blessing from the celebrant. Children will receive their First Eucharist Book and Banner making instructions.

7. After receiving the Packet from the Celebrant (or catechist), the children and their parent(s) should remain in the Sanctuary until dismissed by the celebrant or catechist.
