GRADES 6-8
For anyone in Grades 6-8. The training is more advanced with the special honor of assisting as cantor for the Children’s Liturgy of the Word. When the choir assists at Mass, choir member cantors will be leading the congregation. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 5:00-6:15 PM. The last half hour of each rehearsal will be dedicated to cantor practice.
Members of this choir will have special training in part-singing, leadership roles, and music specially selected for their voices.
The rehearsal does overlap with the Children’s Choir rehearsal. This enables joint choir meditations. Members of this choir are invited to come to the Children’s Choir rehearsal to help assist with the development of the younger voices.
