Building & Grounds
St. John the Evangelist School is housed in a one-story brick building built in 1959. There are also three modules which house the half-day kindergarten, pre school, first grade, faculty lounge, and learning differences room. The church, school, rectory, and convent occupy 14.6 acres. Our playground facilities include blacktop basketball courts, an athletic field used for field sports, and two playground areas.
Our multi-purpose room includes a performance stage and is the center for our physical education program and other school functions. The library, computer lab, classrooms, faculty room, and administrative offices are equipped with state of the art computer equipment linked to the Internet.
In the summer of 1999, we renovated and expanded our main building. Our remodeled facility includes the addition of five classrooms, a science lab, a language lab, a thirty-two station computer lab with projection and Internet access, a new health room, an expanded library work space for processing materials, a administration office space, and a Parish Religious Education Center.
