OTHER  PROGRAMS

Learning Differences Program: The Learning Differences teachers, in unison with the classroom teachers, provide assistance to those children who have been identified as needing specific changes with the curriculum in order to allow them to perform to the best of their ability. The principal, teachers or parents may recommend the child to be considered for this program. However, mutual agreement between the instructors and the parents is necessary before a child is finally accepted.

Rainbows Program: The mission of this program is to provide effective peer support groups for children and adolescents who are grieving a death, divorce, or other painful transition in their family. For specific information relating to this program please call the school office.

Extra Curricular Activities include chess club, band, choir, soccer, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, track, and field trips. A letter is sent home at the beginning of the school year stating the grade levels involved in these activities.

Altar Servers: Students in grade 5 and above, from the school or parish, may apply to give service to the parish by assisting the priest in liturgical celebrations. Special training and a sense of responsibility are required.

Safety Patrol: This service organization of girls and boys plays an important role in helping school moderators and crossing guards provide adequate safety procedures for children who attend our school. Parental permission is required.

Instrumental Music: Children in grades four through eight may enroll in a diocesan approved program of instrumental music. Primary students are given the opportunity to participate in flutaphone lessons. Information is distributed early in the school year and arrangements are made directly between parents and company.

Before and After School Care Program: The Before and After School Program will be held in our school if attendance warrants. Parents who have children in Grades K-8 may make arrangements to enroll their children. Please request and complete Day Care Forms. All papers and fees are to be placed in an envelope and marked, Before and After School Care. The paperwork will be handled directly by our provider. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 410-647-2283.
