Tuition Credit Program Updates

Wondering what the Tuition Credit Program (TCP) or how it works? Check out About the Tuition Credit Program.

The Parent-Teacher Partnership (PTP) of St. John the Evangelist School is committed to helping our school families provide the best Catholic school education for their children.   The PTP developed the Tuition Credit Program (TCP) several years ago to provide parents with a means of alleviating some of the burden of meeting rising tuition costs.  For the 2006-2007 School year, the Tuition Credit Program is offering five different opportunities to earn tuition credit.

When you participate in any of the TCP programs offered, your family earns credit to be applied against your tuition through direct payment to the Business Office three times a year.  You will receive statements from the Business Office showing these payments against your account.

Throughout the school year, you will receive updates from the Tuition Credit Program as well as information on upcoming events.  All correspondence from the Tuition Credit Program will be printed on yellow paper and have the TCP logo at the top.

We are always looking for ways to help families with the rising cost of tuition.   We are open to new ideas and your feedback on the programs we offer.  If you would like to volunteer or have an idea for future program offerings, please contact any member of the Tuition Credit Program Team.

2006-2007 TCP Programs Offered

SCRIP:  Scrip is sold year round.  Grocery Store Scrip cards are available as “Cash and Carry” on Wednesdays, Fridays and weekend Masses.  Retail Store Scrip is available on a pre-order basis with a one-week turnaround.  Order forms are sent home bi-weekly in the Wednesday envelopes and are available in the school lobby and church gathering space.  Families earn between 2% and 16% of their purchases back in Tuition Credit by using Scrip at stores where they already shop.

Lottery:  Early in the school year the Parent Teacher Partnership will send home to each family thirty $5 Lottery tickets.  Sell them to your family, co-workers, neighbors and don’t forget to buy some for yourselves.  For ten weeks we will draw one winning ticket worth $250!  For each ticket sold, the selling family will earn $4 in Tuition Credit and $1 will go to the PTP General Fund.

Used Uniform Sales:  Don’t miss out on earning 80% of the sales price of your childrens’ “worn, but worthy to wear” uniforms in Tuition Credit.  Two major sales are held each year, but this is an ongoing program.   And don’t forget the Used Uniform Program for your school shopping needs.  This is an excellent opportunity to purchase school uniforms for your children at significantly reduced prices.

Spring Fundraiser:  This year we will have one “sales type” fundraiser.  Profits are returned to the selling families in the form of Tuition Credit.

2005-2006 Facts and Figures
