Why do we send youth on a workcamp mission each summer?
- We will experience Christian service on the front lines of the real world—and grow closer to Jesus!
- At workcamp, youth will learn valuable skills doing home repair—basic carpentry, roof repair, painting, and drywall. Whether or not your kids know how to use a hammer or paintbrush, all they really need is a willing heart.
- You’ll help families who can’t afford, or aren’t able, to do the work you’ll provide. You and others will help people who are disabled, elderly, or those suffering the after-effects of a natural disaster. With each project, you’ll experience the rewarding impact of sharing your Christian faith through your actions, in the real world.
- You’ll experience a great balance of Christian service, faith, and FUN!
- The goal of every Group Workcamp is to connect your kids and the residents they serve to Jesus.
Who can participate?
Participants must be at least 14 yrs. old or entering the 9th grade in the fall of 2013. High-school graduates and college-aged young adults are also welcome to participate.
No special skills are required…just a willingness to serve.
What about adults?
Adults (age 21 and above) are a critical part of the mission experience. Adults provide safety, relationships, spiritual guidance, and discipline... And adults serve on project crews, shoulder to shoulder with young people.
We will bring a minimum of one (Stand Certified) adult for every five youth.
