SJYM Visit to Camp GLOW

@ the O'Dwyer Retreat House

Thursday, August 11

Camp GLOW (God Loves Our World) is a week-long residential summer camp for adults with developmental disabilities held annually at the Monsignor O’ Dwyer Retreat Center in Sparks, MD. The emphasis of Camp GLOW is spiritual development and camp participants have the opportunity to attend Mass and other activities that are intended to strengthen their relationship with Christ. In addition to faith formation, activities include swimming, hiking, sports activities, music, games, and arts and crafts. Camp GLOW provides a vacation to those individuals who might not otherwise have one.
SJYM teens will have the opportunity to visit, play, and pray with the Camp GLOW residents on Thursday August 11. We will gather at St John's at 8 AM to drive to O'Dwyer, spend time as helpers during the day, and will return home to St John by 4 PM. There will be no cost to St John's teens, and service hours may be granted for this activity.

Interested? Download the permission form here -- registration is due to Cassandra by Wednesday, August 3
