Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration is scheduled on Fridays throughout the year (holidays excepted) from 9a.m. – 8a.m. on Saturday. Childcare is offered on the First Friday of each month from 9 – 11a.m.

Please visit our Adore page for more information.

Adoration for Alpha

As we begin each season of Alpha, we pray as a parish for all those who are seeking the answers to the big questions, and especially those who will be discussing them during Alpha.  We pray that each guest may find God in the fellowship and outreach of our team members, through the formal presentations, and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit during the retreat weekend.

Adoration begins in the Oratory at 6p.m. on the Tuesday before a new session of Alpha begins, and concludes at 6p.m. on the Wednesday of the first day of Alpha.

Please visit our Adore page for more information.

2nd Tuesday Holy Hour

Join men and women every second Tuesday of the month from 7 - 8p.m. in the church for an intimate encounter with Jesus Christ through Eucharistic Adoration. Holy Hour includes communal and personal prayer, Gospel reflection with guided meditation, praise and worship music, silent reflection, and Benediction. We also have social time afterward, to accompany one another and inspire each other in Mission! Questions? Contact RCinAB@gmail.com.

First Friday Family Fun Night

Looking for a fun event for your whole family? Come join us on the first Friday of the month for our St. John Family Fun Night! The evening will begin at 6p.m. in the Gathering Space Meeting Room with a casual dinner. You may either bring your own meal, or order pizza. If you wish to order pizza for your family, please see our Parish website or our Facebook event. At 6:30p.m. we will have a brief time of guided family prayer in the Church.

Small children and toddlers are most encouraged to come and will be taught how to pray and talk to Jesus. Afterward, will end with family fellowship fun/game time. All families are welcome, especially those with small children. As Jesus says: Let the little children come to me, and do not prevent them. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these!

Prayer Groups

Joy of the Spirit

The St. John Joy in the Spirit prayer group meets weekly on Sunday evenings (except the third Sunday of each month) in the Gathering Space Meeting Room. This is a wonderful place to personally encounter the Lord and His Spirit in a life-changing way. On the third Sunday of each month, the prayer meeting is replaced by the 2p.m. Filipino celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Contact Agnes Nepomuceno for additional information.

Sisterhood of the Blessed Mother

We are an informal group of women who revere the Blessed Mother, we pray the Rosary at every meeting and try to find ways to help others grow closer to Mother Mary through prayer and acts of kindness, especially helping those in need. Women of all ages and of all Christian denominations are welcome to join our group. Typically, we meet monthly, usually on a Saturday morning from 10a.m. to noon. Contact Paula Care for more information at paulacare@comcast.net.

Morning Rosary Group

Every morning after 8:30a.m. daily Mass, a group gathers informally in the church to pray the Rosary. All are welcome. Members would be happy to help you if you are not familiar with all of the prayers involved.

Please describe what situation or person you would like prayer for

After the 9:15a.m. and 11a.m. masses, parishioners are available as prayer companions in the oratory. They are happy to pray for and with you for any prayer needs you have. Please stop by after these masses.
