For All Adult Volunteers

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at St. John the Evangelist. We are so grateful for your enthusiasm and generosity. As of November 1, 2017, in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, all parishes and Archdiocesan Catholic schools are using VIRTUS, a compliance management system that allows the management of ALL employees and volunteers. If you previously registered in Shield the Vulnerable, your account and data transferred to the Virtus system. Please contact Nancy Smith nsmith@stjohnsp.org to confirm your volunteer status.

Anyone volunteering in St. John the Evangelist School, Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, Boy Scouts, Music, Sick and Homebound, St. Vincent de Paul Society, or other programming where children may potentially be present has substantial contact with children, and needs to indicate “volunteer with substantial contact with children” when registering. If you are unsure, please contact Nancy Smith at nsmith@stjohnsp.org, 410-647-4892. Thank you.

All NEW volunteer applicants must register and train in VIRTUS regardless of the ministry. Most if not all volunteers have substantial contact with children because we are a parish and school campus.
