The Respect Life Ministry will hold our Annual Mother’s Day Rose Sale on Sunday, May 12, after the morning Masses while supplies last. Shiadrik Mokum to Visit St. John the Evangelist
Our former pastoral year seminarian, Sem. Shiadrik Mokum, will be ordained a transitional deacon on Saturday, May 18, after which he will celebrate his first Mass as Rev. Mr. Shiadrik Mokum at the 5:15p.m. Mass right here at St. John the Evangelist.
Pentecost Vigil Family Camp Out
Families, experience Pentecost uniquely and prayerfully together at our Pentecost Vigil Family Camp Out! Join us on Saturday, May 27, for our Extended Outdoor Pentecost Vigil Mass at 7p.m., followed by fellowship, and then camp out with your children on Larsen Field overnight while we keep vigil with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration.
Farewell Mass and Reception for Casey Buckstaff
Join us in celebration and gratitude as we recognize Ms. Buckstaff for her nine, faith-filled years as our school principal, and wish her well before she leaves SJES at the end of the school year.
Men's Cookout
Men of St. John the Evangelist are invited to join the Knights of Columbus for an afternoon of burgers, hotdogs and baseball during a Men’s Cookout on Sunday, May 19. We will gather at the Columbian Center to watch the Orioles take on the Seattle Mariners at 1:30p.m. Please bring your own beverages; the Knights will supply the rest! Mary's Center Baby Bottle Campaign
Mary’s Center volunteers will be distributing baby bottles June 1 & 2. Please take a bottle home, fill it with spare change and bills, and return the bottle with your donation to the church the weekend of June 29 & 30.

Senior Bible Study
Would you like to better understand the meaning of the Scripture readings in the Sunday Mass? The St. John Senior Bible Study and Faith-Sharing Group meets every other Tuesday morning from September through May. Participation is open to anyone 50 years of age or older.

The Knights are hosting a showing of the VeggieTales movie, “An Easter Carol” at the Columbian Center, 335 Ritchie Hwy., on Sunday, April 7, 3—4p.m. The event is open to all St. John’s families (and friends) at no charge.
Feast of Divine Mercy
Immediately following the 11a.m. Mass, we will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, induction of nine Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Benediction and blessing of religious articles.
Flower Box Clean Up!
St. John adopted two flower boxes on the Severna Park portion of the B&A Trail. It is time for a spring cleanup and many hands make for light work.

Teen Bonfire
Teens, join us for a bonfire with Hic Sum on Friday, April 5, 8:30—10p.m. at the fire pit. We will meet in the Gathering Space immediately following Adoration and walk over to the fire pit together to enjoy S’mores, games and friendship.

Blessing of Easter Food
The blessing of Easter food baskets is an Eastern European tradition dating back to at least the 15th century. Food blessed on Holy Saturday is shared with family on Easter Sunday.
